In October 2020, we received the following post from British Heart Foundation in recognition of our donation of over £1,000 raised recently during our cycling efforts. These much-needed funds will go towards supporting research into heart disease in Scotland in Yusef’s memory.
“Thank you so much to the friends and family of Yusef Abubaker Memorial Trust who raised more than £1,000 for the BHF after taking part in the Dundee Cyclathon.
Yusef died suddenly when he was just 12 years old and his family work tirelessly to support our research in his memory.
Huge thanks to Aziz Al-Haram, Helena Porrelli and Yusef’s parents Abi and Alison for getting on their bikes to help us. We are so grateful.”
