Joseph Miranda, a 12-year-old pupil at Blackness Primary School, was recently awarded the Yusef Abubaker Award for Learning.
The award is for students who demonstrate passion and commitment to their learning. This award is very dear to us, and it was an absolute pleasure to be able to present it to young Joseph was a delightful and extremely talented young man.
Joseph loves reading, sports, and is also a very talented musician (he plays the violin, piano, drums, and the saxophone!), we even got to see him perform during the awards ceremony which was a real treat.
Joseph is a true credit to his lovely mother Heather, who took the time to reach out and pass on kind and heartfelt words following the prizegiving ceremony.
We wish Joseph and the Miranda family all the very best. We are certain Joseph has a bright future ahead of him and we hope this award (hopefully the first of many!) encourages him to continue in all his pursuits.
Well done, Joseph, you deserve it.
